Before returning to the Regional Museum of Messina, after being restored by the Central Institute of Restoration, for about a month visitors can enjoy at the Museum of Rome, the beautiful painting enitled The Raising of Lazarus, painted by Michelangelo Merisi between 1608 and 1609 on commission by Giovan Battista de' Lazzari for the church in the Sicilian town.
Carla Zaccheo and Anna Maria Marcone will explain to the public the various stages of restoration work.
