150 from the death of the poet, the Centro Studi Giuseppe Gioachino Belli in collaboration with Roma Capitale, the Department of Culture, creativity and artistic promotion - Sovrintendenza Capitolina ai Beni Culturali, is organizing a tribute to the poet with a series of events.

The event, on the birthday of the poet, is the beginning of a series of events celebrating the 150th anniversary of the death of the poet by the Centro Studi Giuseppe Gioachino Belli in collaboration with Roma Capitale, Department of Culture, creativity and artistic promotion - Sovrintendenza Capitolina ai Beni Culturali (Museum of Rome and the Napoleonic Museum), the University of Rome, Tor Vergata University, the University of Roma Tre and other institutions (the Istituto Nazionale di Studi Romani, the Istituto Nazionale della Grafica, the Archivio Storico Capitolino, the Biblioteca di Storia moderna e contemporanea, the Fondazione Besso, and the City of Morrovalle).

The calendar of events features a conference in eight sessions (between September and December 2013), the issue of a commemorative stamp together with the Italian Government Printing Office and Mint State (Saturday, October 19, 2013), two meetings at the Teatro Argentina (Wednesday, November 27 and Wednesday, December 11, 2013), the unveiling of a commemorative plaque at Palazzo Poli where Belli wrote his sonnets (Monday, December 2, 2013), and an exhibition at the Museo di Roma (opening Tuesday, December 3, 2013, until February 3, 2014).
